NFL Network Host Unleashes on Bills’ Sean McDermott for His Concerns About Tush Push Play
One of those who has issues with the play is Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott, whose team tried a version of it during their playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. They didn't run it as well as the Eagles have done it over the years, and failed to pick up a key first down.
The Bills used the tush push more than 30 NFL teams. Now there is a proposal to ban it.
According to ESPN Research, the Bills and Eagles have combined to run 163 tush push plays over the past three years which is more than the other 30 teams combined. On those 163 plays, the Bills and Eagles achieved a first down or touchdown 87% of the time.
