The Philadelphia Eagles moved up the start of Tuesday's practice due to extreme heat — and a new Jalen-ism dropped.
Here are five players who have made impressions, positive or not, in the first five practices of camp. Injuries have played a role for some.
That's because of Elijah Cooks, signed by the Eagles to the practice squad last January after spending his first two seasons with Jacksonville. Cooks, who has 3 receptions for 38 yards in his NFL career, has had by far the best training camp of any Eagles wide receiver not named A.J. Brown.
WR DeVonta Smith (back stiffness) and S Drew Mukuba (shoulder) sat out practice on July 28, as did LB Smael Mondon (illness) and WR Danny Gray (finger). The following were limited: LB Jihaad Campbell (shoulder), DT Jalen Carter (shoulder), G Kenyon Green (knee), and C Cam Jurgens (back).
