Mellott, at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, does not fit the physical profile of an NFL quarterback. But he has athleticism in spades, as evidenced by his 9.68 Relative Athletic Score.

Mellott's Montana State lost the title game to Miller's North Dakota State with both men playing brilliantly in the 35-32 triumph for Miller. Miller and Mellott led their teams in passing and rushing.
