The Socastee Swing Bridge will close July 29 for the filming of Netflix’s “Outer Banks,” according to transportation officials and the SC Film Commission.

A Lowcountry bridge will close for a day next week to film a stunt for Season 5 of the Netflix show “Outer Banks,” the South Carolina Film Commission said.

The historic Socastee Swing Bridge will close as cameras, actors and film crews set up to shoot a scene in late July.

The Socastee Swing Bridge will be closed for at least a week for repairs, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Drivers should detour on Highway 544.
