Authorities say two people in New Jersey were killed after their vehicle was swept up in floodwaters during a storm that moved across the U.S. Northeast overnight.
Forecasters warned more rain and flash flood risk is expected on July 15 after storms flooded out roads the day before.
Severe flash flooding across the tri-state area on Monday caused subway delays and road closures across the Big Apple and pushed New Jersey to declare a state of emergency. All five boroughs and Nassau County are under a flash flood warning through midnight.
