Members of the Houston-area community have released statements sending their condolences following the death of Harris County Pct. 2 Constable's Sergeant Manuel Edwards.

Authorities say off-duty Harris County Precinct 2 Sgt. Manuel Edwards was hit and killed by a U-Haul truck while riding his bike in Katy on Tuesday.
