The two escapees from the May 16 jailbreak at the Orleans Justice Center who were apprehended in Texas earlier this week are back in custody in Louisiana, Louisiana State Police

Investigators are pleading for the public’s help in finding a convicted double murderer and an experienced fugitive who broke out of a New Orleans jail 13 days ago and could be anywhere in the US.

Louisiana State Police Col. Robert Hodges said that while he does not believe the two fugitives have the resources to flee the U.S., they may have escaped the state.

Investigators learned the baby was stillborn in Dallas on May 3, and Golden Gate Funeral Home had conducted the funeral service on May 17. The infant was scheduled to be cremated, according to the release, but the body was accidentally taken to Shreveport with a load of dirty linens.

The Shreveport Police Department said the baby was found Tuesday morning at a laundry service facility wrapped in linens.

Shreveport police are investigating how an embalmed infant from Dallas ended up in linens sent to a local dry cleaner instead of being cremated.
