NEW YORK (AP) — Kid Cudi is the latest celebrity being called to testify at Sean “Diddy” Combs ′ sex trafficking trial in New York. The popular melodic rapper is expected to take the stand Thursday and tell the jury about his brief relationship 14 years ago with Combs’ ex-girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie.

On the surface, rapper Kid Cudi and music mogul Sean ‘Diddy” Combs appear to have a few things in common. Both lost their fathers when they were young and have praised their mothers for their strength as single parents.

Prosecutors alleged Combs set fire to a car between late 2011 and early 2012, mirroring allegations his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura made that he blew up a car belonging to rapper Kid Cudi.
