The murder trial for Karmelo Anthony, the North Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing another student at a Frisco track meet in April, has been set for next year, according to court records.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced 18-year-old Karmelo Anthony had been indicted on a murder charge.

The Frisco senior accused in the fatal stabbing of another athlete at a track meet in April had his trial date set. Karmelo Anthony learned that his murder trial will begin on June 1, 2026, just a few weeks after he was indicted on murder charges by a Collin County grand jury. He faces up to life in prison.
