Since early June, protesters in Los Angeles have been making noise outside hotels ICE agents are staying at in a "no sleep for ICE" campaign.
Michael Rimkunas, head of LAPD's Professional Standards Bureau, said that as of Friday, 86 incidents are under investigation, including 59 for possible excessive force, along with some others that involve “discourtesy” by officers and other less severe allegations, The Los Angeles Times reported.
Over 40 individuals have been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in connection with incidents that occurred during recent immigration protests in downtown Los Angeles.
