The film has brought in more than $500 million globally after opening in late June. The Formula One Group is thanking the Brad Pitt F1 movie for a revenue bump this quarter, as well as furthering the cultural impact of the motorsport.

Apple today announced that its hit original film F1: The Movie will be re-released in select IMAX theaters around the world, due to popular demand. Tickets are on sale now for select IMAX theaters and showtimes beginning this Friday, August 8, and the film will expand to even more IMAX theaters on Friday, August 15.

F1 follows former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes (Pitt), who returns to the sport to mentor a young rising star while racing for a fictional team called APXGP. The movie is filmed during real F1 Grand Prix weekends, blending live race footage with cinematic storytelling. Alongside Pitt, F1 also stars Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem.
