LONDON -- It didn't take long until the taste for silverware had grasped Eddie Howe. Barely an hour after lifting Newcastle's first major trophy in over half a century, Howe, his hair soaked through with champagne, was already eyeing up further honors to follow his EFL Cup.

An emotional Eddie Howe predicted that many of his Newcastle stars will make “legends” of themselves and urged fans and players to bask in the glory of winning their first major domestic trophy for 70 years. Newcastle beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday afternoon to win the Carabao Cup, their first major domestic honour since 1955.
