Neil Patrick Harris has joined the cast of “ Dexter: Resurrection ” as a guest star. Details about the “How I Met Your Mother” star’s role are unknown, other than his character’s name: Lowell. Production for Showtime’s “Dexter” sequel series began in January in New York. The show is set to debut on Paramount+ With Showtime in the summer.

Alongside Harris, Peter Dinklage and Uma Thurman star in the new series, with the Game of Thrones star playing Leon Prater, a mysterious billionaire venture capitalist, and the Kill Bill icon playing Charley, Prater's head of security and "right-hand woman."

March 4 (UPI) -- Showtime announced Tuesday that Neil Patrick Harris will guest star in Dexter: Resurrection. The show is expected to air this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime.

He was seen on Wednesday (March 5) with a shaggy, tousled brunette hairdo while shooting scenes with co-star Michael C Hall in New York City. Harris was wearing a navy shirt layered under a black puffer coat, paired with dark blue jeans.
