Confusion over how the media giant plans to restructure its debt following a spinoff of cable channels like CNN and TNT have rattled the market for its bonds.
Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company to Atlanta-based cable channels such as CNN, TBS and TNT, plans to split into two publicly traded companies, largely parting its television networks from its streaming business.
HBO Max will soon be splitting from CNN after parent company Warner Bros. Discovery announced it will be breaking up into two separate publicly traded companies, one focused around streaming and the other on traditional television broadcasting.
The film and television giant will turn its cable networks, including CNN and TNT, into one company and its streaming and studios business into another.
