It’s been over one week since the Nevada Task Force 1 (NV-TF1) left Las Vegas to assist with search and rescue and recovery operations in flood-ravaged parts of Texas. Kerr County is where catastrophic flooding occurred over the July 4 weekend.

Around 6-10 inches of rain fell across the region over the weekend causing floods that prompted rescues and evacuations.

The National Weather Service warned that the Guadalupe River could surge to nearly 15 feet—5 feet above flood stage—by Sunday afternoon.
