Quintanna beach campground is just over the dunes- kind of a grassy area. You can't actually camp on the sandy beach area. But just over on Bryan beach (maybe 2 miles south) you can camp for free, right on the beach. There are only trash cans and port-o-potty's though. You can always camp on bryan and drive over to quintanna for an outside shower- usually they dont make you pay on weekdays to have access to the beach/shower area.....or at least they have no one monitoring if you are going in and out. Or you could always bring a jug of water to use as your own rinse of shower....we do that when we just go for day excursions. Hope this helps.
